About us

In the middle of the city and yet in an incomparable lakeside location: the VILLA Schweizerhof is a jewel that has been given a new lease of life. Taken over by the Hotel Schweizerhof Lucerne team in 2017, a great deal was invested in spring 2018 to make the new ‘EssVILLA am See’ your favourite place.

In a stately ambience and with spectacular views of the picturesque Lake Lucerne and the nearby Alpine panorama, you can enjoy honest cuisine from the pots and pans of head chef Marcel Ineichen. Well seasoned with plenty of regional flavours and fresh herbs from our own garden every day.

The power of Swiss nature is reflected in both the food and drinks menu. The lake trout from Meggen, the game from the Gersauer Berg, the risotto from the Maggia Valley. The wine list features exclusively Swiss wines: Directly from the Swiss Confederation or from Swiss winegrowers abroad. The origin of true enjoyment lies in quality. Swiss quality. And in the stories of our suppliers, whom we know personally.
